About the Project

JYSK is an international Scandinavian retail brand specialising in home furnishings, bedding, and garden products, operating thousands of stores across Europe. The Tullamore store represents one of JYSK's Irish openings, delivering a large-format retail unit to the Tullamore market in Co.

Offaly. The fit-out of a large retail unit of this nature requires precise, high-output drylining works - including extensive ceiling areas, beam encasements to exposed structural steel, and partition walls - all delivered to a tight commercial programme ahead of the store's Grand Opening.

Our Contribution

RO Youth Construction was engaged by DJ Interiors as the specialist drylining subcontractor for the JYSK Tullamore fit-out. Our team carried out the full internal drylining package - installing all partition walls, large-area ceiling boarding, and beam encasement boxes to the structural steel throughout the unit.

All plasterboard joints were taped and jointed to a smooth commercial finish, ready for decoration and shop-fitting. The beam encasement works were a key feature of the ceiling scope, requiring accurate boxing and boarding around the steel frame to achieve the clean, finished retail look seen at Grand Opening.

Our team maintained high daily output throughout, supporting the store's delivery on time.

  • Installation of all internal partition walls throughout the retail floor space
  • Full ceiling plasterboard installation - large-area commercial ceiling boarding
  • Beam encasement works - all structural steel beams boxed and boarded in plasterboard
  • Tape and joint finishing to all plasterboard surfaces (walls, ceilings, and beams)
  • Works coordinated with mechanical, electrical and shop-fitting trades on site
  • Commercial retail fit-out standard maintained throughout - high-quality finish
  • Works carried out for DJ Interiors as specialist drylining subcontractor
