About the Project

Sysco is one of the world's largest food service distribution companies, supplying restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, and other businesses with food, beverages, and kitchen equipment. The Newcastle West facility in Co.

Limerick forms part of Sysco Ireland's distribution network, serving the Munster region. The fit-out of a large commercial distribution and logistics facility involves extensive internal partitioning across large floor areas - including offices, welfare facilities, corridor runs, and ancillary spaces - all requiring moisture-resistant boarding and a clean tape and joint finish suitable for a working commercial environment.

Our Contribution

RO Youth Construction was engaged by BD Partition to carry out the partition installation and tape and joint works throughout the Sysco Newcastle West facility. Our team installed all internal metal stud partition walls, boarded all surfaces with moisture-resistant plasterboard, and completed the full tape and joint finishing to all walls and reveals across the facility.

The scale of the spaces involved - including large open commercial areas requiring scissor lift access for high-level boarding - required efficient organisation and consistent output from the team throughout the programme.

  • Installation of all internal metal stud partition walls throughout the facility
  • Plasterboard boarding to all partition walls - moisture-resistant blue/grey board used throughout
  • Tape and joint finishing to all boarded surfaces - walls and reveals
  • Large open-area commercial spaces boarded using scissor lift for high-level work
  • Boarding to corridor runs with multiple door openings
  • Works carried out to commercial food distribution facility standards
  • Subcontracted by BD Partition as specialist drylining installer
